Bridges

Bridges are used to replace the gaps left by lost teeth, and they can only be utilized if the tooth is robust enough and has sufficient bone support. Bridges are created in a laboratory after your dentist has completed the necessary preparation work in the surgery. Porcelain bound to precious metal is the most common material used. New bridges are also available that are totally built of strong porcelain.
Why do I need a dental bridge?
If a tooth gets missed from the place, nearby teeth can move into the empty space to fill the gap. The teeth in your opposite jaw can also move up or down toward the empty space. This can cause the following problems:
- Biting problems.
- Chewing difficulty issues.
- Pain from the extra pressure on your teeth and jaw.
